Polish Discus Thrower's Inspirational Story of Success

The story of Polish discus thrower Piotr Malachowski has had some people shed a tear.

After winning the silver medal in the 2016 Rio Olympics, Malachowski didn’t hesitate to put it up for auctions to help with the founding of a three year old’s cancer treatment.

Malachowski's goal was to raise enough money to ensure Olek Szymanski "could get surgery for his retinoblastoma in New York to try to save the child's eyesight."
